I'm currently working on a project using Apache Fineract for lending. I've clients, loan products, and loan accounts. I need to build features around notifying customers about upcoming due dates. I've been investigating and I've found that I can use the reports for this, by building a SQL query that searches for active loans and its repayments. I can then use the API for querying the report and get JSON results that I can process and build my notifications.
Is this the recommended or right way of building this? or is there something I'm missing?
